Open Water Diver

The SSI Open Water Diver Course is your first step toward exploring the underwater world. This beginner certification teaches you the essential skills of scuba diving, including dive planning, equipment use, buoyancy control, and underwater communication.

With DiveGurus, you’ll train in small groups with experienced SSI instructors who focus on safety, comfort, and confidence. The course combines theory lessons, confined water practice, and open water dives around Boracay’s beautiful reefs. Once completed, you’ll earn an internationally recognized certification that allows you to dive up to 18 meters anywhere in the world.

Course includes:

• Access to the SSI app and digital learning materials

• 3–4 days of training

• Theory and confined water sessions

• 4 open water dives (maximum depth 18 meters)

• Use of full scuba equipment

• Boat transfers to dive sites

• Certification upon completion

Prerequisites:

• Minimum age 10 years old

• Basic swimming ability

• No prior diving experience necessary
