Advanced Open Water Diver

The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is the next step in your diving journey, designed to build confidence, skill, and experience beyond the Open Water level. This globally recognized certification replaces the former Advanced Adventurer and provides a clear, structured path for divers looking to explore more advanced diving environments.

During the course, you’ll complete five open water training dives, including two required dives in Deep Diving and Navigation, plus three additional dives from a selection of popular specialties such as Perfect Buoyancy, Night Diving, Wreck Diving, or Photo & Video. Each dive introduces new techniques and expands your understanding of the underwater world, guided by an experienced SSI instructor.

Boracay’s varied dive sites and excellent conditions make it the perfect location to take your skills to the next level.

Course includes:

• Access to the SSI app and digital learning materials

• 2–3 days of training

• 5 open water training dives (maximum depth 30 meters)

• Use of full scuba equipment

• Boat transfers to dive sites

• Certification upon completion

Prerequisites:

• SSI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)

• Minimum age 12 years old (12–14 yrs: depth limited to 21 meters)

• Good health and basic swimming ability
