Bat Cave
Maximum depth: 6 meters
Bat Cave is a dramatic and intimate dive site featuring a series of shallow caves that lead to a large cavern known as the Bat Cave, which can also be accessed by land. Because it lies close to the rocks, diving here requires calm sea conditions and minimal wave action, otherwise, currents or surge may make passage difficult.
Inside the cave system, you’ll find lobsters tucked into crevices, sea snakes slipping along the walls, and reef fish such as lionfish hovering near overhangs. Overhead, the cave roof is home to fruit bats, which lend the site its name. The interplay of light, shadow, and rock formations offers a unique, moody atmosphere for adventurous divers. Bat Cave is best for intermediate divers who are comfortable with buoyancy control in tighter spaces and aware of safe diving practices in semi-cavern environments.
